Health Work and Wellbeing free Public Health funding for businesses

Who can apply?

Small and medium sized businesses with between 1and 249 employees and local partnerships can apply to the Health Work and Well-being Challenge Fund. Businesses must be based and trading in Great Britain and must have been established for at least two years.

What types of projects are eligible?

Projects that promote health and welfare at work such as those concerned with:

  • alleviating stress and improving other mental health conditions;
  • providing healthy activities;
  • ensuring work life balance; and
  • Supportive management.

What types of projects are not eligible?

These include but are not restricted to:

  • Projects where there is other funding or help available, for example from the NHS or Train to Gain;
  • Replacement, repair or ongoing maintenance of existing equipment;
  • Employment of temporary staff to replace those involved in working on the project;
  • Temporary facilities and short term leases;
  • Building work.

What is the minimum/maximum amount of award?

The minimum award is £1,000 a year and the maximum is £50,000 a year.

Remember, completed forms have to be in by the end of December 2009. Hurry up! Feel free to pass it on to any other persons or small businesses you think may be interested.
